Virtual Piano Recital Sunday, August 9th, 2020 Time: TBA (Approx. 5pm?) Sign Up Deadline: 08/05/2020 Video Upload Deadline: 08/07/2020 Register from HERE NOW! |
First of all, I would like to thank all the students who kept on taking remote piano lessons during this difficult time and practicing every week. Each one of you have made good progress and I am very proud of you!
My initial intent was to have a LIVE recital outdoors at a restaurant patio. However, due to increased number of children testing COVID-19 positive, I had to make an unfortunate decision not to have it in-person. I was very excited to see everyone, but it seems like we need to wait a little bit longer for that.
But Good News is that we can still have the Virtual Recital!
I have had hosted a few already and many people say they like it because they can listen to everyone's music from comfort of their own homes. Also you don't even need to be home. You can join from anywhere, even from your vacation spot.
Just send in your performance video and all you need to do is sit back and watch. Even if you don't have music to play this time, please join and be an audience.
Virtual Recital Preparation:
1. Take a video of your performance.
Click HERE for tips on how to make a recording of yourself.
Remember, this video will be seen by everyone so try to dress up and shoot for the best quality.
2. Upload the video.
Click HERE and upload your video.
Those of you who already sent me your video, you do not need to upload.
3. Sign Up!
Click HERE to register for the recital as a Performer or Audience.
4. Have something to share during the recital.
To make the recital more personal experience, each student should have something to share to the group.
For example, a short speech about how you have been spending time this summer, what was the most difficult part of making a video of yourself? Did you make something creative? Show us! It can be anything. Please have it ready on the recital day.
After you register, I will send you a link to ZOOM recital.
Remember to sign in at the recital time.
During the Recital
We will watch the Recital Video together on ZOOM.
Everyone must mute the microphone during the performances.
When performance ends, everyone can turn mic on and clap.
Mute again.
I will call each student to turn on the microphone to speak.
The student can share what they prepared.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
